Environmental education for children: Aquatherm Ukraine – partner of a competition for projects to conserve water resources

Environmental education is the key to responsible attitudes towards water and the environment, especially among the younger generation. It is with this goal in mind that the environmental control department of Lviv Water Utility Lvivvodokanal, together with the Ecology and Natural Resources Department of the Department of Natural Resources and Construction and the Education Department of the Lviv City Council, organised a competition for initiatives to improve the ecological and recreational status of water bodies for schoolchildren in the Lviv community.

Aquatherm Ukraine became an important partner of the event, sponsoring the competition. The competition jury included representatives of the company, Volodymyr Cherniukh and Nataliia Ri, who highly appreciated the creativity of the students' projects and their focus on water conservation and environmental responsibility.

‘Fostering environmental awareness among students is an investment in our country’s future. Modern technology and responsible use of resources must go hand in hand, and the younger generation already understands this,’ emphasised Volodymyr Cherniukh.             

The winners of the competition received useful and valuable gifts that will help them learn more about water and ecology.                                        Among the prizes were a modern water filter, which helps to form the habit of drinking high-quality drinking water; a certificate for purchases at the Aquatherm Ukraine store, which offers a wide range of equipment for water conservation; as well as educational books about water and water resources that inspire a caring attitude towards nature and motivate people to continue environmental initiatives.

The organiser of the competition emphasised that such initiatives help children understand the value of water and teach them to use natural resources sparingly. Aquatherm Ukraine will continue to support educational and environmental projects that help raise a generation that is aware of the importance of water conservation and environmental protection.
